The phrase "Best Man Toasts" takes me quite a few years back when I was asked by my cousin to become his best man at his wedding reception. Since then I have performed the duty of raising the toasts for the bride and the groom as the best a couple of times. and honestly, I wasn't too bad. In fact I quite enjoyed being the best man and delivering the best man toasts. I am by nature a fairly good speaker but I didn't take it granted. I prepared myself for the best man toasts every single time. No wonder, I did reasonably well with my best man toasts on every occasion.
Toasting the bride or the groom shouldn't be a problem if you approach it with a positive attitude. Practice is the key. Plan your best man toast, write it up, read it loudly preferably in front of a friend of yours, modify the speech if required, add some fizz to it and it's ready to serve . . . er, deliver. Your own unique best man speech and believe me , with a little research and a bit practice you can expect to deliver one of the most memorable best man speeches ever heard.
